Computer Applications
The Madison Middle School Computer Applications Program is based on the concept of introducing programs that are commonly used in today's business world. Graduating eighth graders will be ready for all high school classes in which they will use the Microsoft Office Package, Online Tools and Google Technologies.
Students explore and learn skills involving keyboarding, word processing, spreadsheet, graphic, and multimedia applications through practical projects. An understanding of hardware, software, and the internet also develops as students cover the curriculum. Computers are powerful tools with practical applications for the present and the future.
Typing Standards Stressed In All Grade Levels
Typing.com is an online program that the students have access to at school and at home. Every Student in the Madison Middle School has an account that has already been set up for them. Please encourage your son or daughter to become advanced in his or her grade level.

6th Grade Cruise
This year our cruise classes rotate every 7 weeks. The students will use MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, Photostory 3 for Window, Internet Explorer/Google Chrome, Outlook, and Google Drive to create or perform: Flyers, Charts, Photostories, Emails, Slideshows, and various activities on the Internet.
7th Grade Cruise
During the 7 weeks the students will create a state hosted website which will contain: a banner, side menu, and main page. This website will stay with them until they graduate. After their site is designed the students will create a few new pages, one of them will host their project for this class. The programs used in this class are: Expression Web, Movie Maker, Paint, and Visual Communicator. We will also get hands on experience with digital cameras, video, production lighting, and storyboards.
