6th Grade Expectations

First, and most important, we expect that you will experience a great year of growth in knowledge, personal responsibility, and life-long learning skills in sixth grade.

Attendance is extremely important since much material is covered daily in class.  Sixth graders who are absent are expected to make up all work that has been missed and turn it into the teacher as soon as possible. If   a student needs to leave the building for any reason, they are asked to stop and let the office know that they are leaving.

Sixth graders are expected to complete and turn in assigned work on time.  Those who have not completed assigned work will not have extra credit options.

Sixth graders will be in their seats when the bell rings or will be counted tardy.

6th Grade Grading Scale

Evaluation will be based on student involvement in discussions, activities, group work and projects as well as performance on daily assignments, quizzes, and chapter tests.
